Las Vegas, NV (January 6, 2014) – INTRAPHEX (www.intraphex.com) – a manufacturer of aftermarket navigation, rearview mirror display and phone integration solutions – today introduced a series of innovative new aftermarket upgrade kits – collectively called Prodigy*Pro – that utilize a vehicle’s OEM or aftermarket touch screen radio to deliver an Android tablet-like experience. Once installed and connected to the Internet (via smartphone Wi-Fi Hotspot or USB 3G dongle) the Prodigy*Pro allows the driver or passenger to access and enjoy GPS navigation, hands-free calling, Internet music services like Spotify and Pandora, live weather updates and much more, as well as download apps from Google Play. Additionally, it can be expanded with an additional touchscreen, allowing a second user in the backseat to access videos (Netflix, YouTube) or play games. Visitors to the CES show can see the Prodigy*Pro firsthand at booth 2808, LVCC North Hall.

The industry’s first fully-connected Android-based universal “black box” integration kit, the Prodigy*Pro can be added to any factory or aftermarket radio with a display screen and integrates seamlessly with the original touch controls. The result is a tablet-like interactive experience, including apps, games, navigation, an Internet browser, entertainment and more. The onboard Android OS (4.3) allows an almost infinite number of personalization options, and apps, music and other media can be easily downloaded from Google Play. The Prodigy*Pro can connect to the Internet via smartphone Wi-Fi Hotspot or Bluetooth tethering, or by connecting a 3G (HSDPA/HSDPA+) USB dongle. It has an internal 4GB of FLASH memory and a SD Card slot to expand storage memory to 32GB.

It also has the capability to add a second aftermarket or OEM touchscreen to allow a second user to access apps and media on the Prodigy*Pro. This means a user in the backseat can access and watch movies on Netflix through the Prodigy*Pro while the driver uses it for navigation and weather updates.
