HAUPPAUGE, NY and LAS VEGAS, NV – JANUARY 6, 2014 – LVCC, CENTRAL
HALL, BOOTH 10404/10415 – VOXX Electronics Corporation (VEC), a newly formed
wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corp. (NASDAQ: VOXX), announced today
the introduction of its Seatback Android System, the next evolution in rear seat entertainment.

Audiovox has introduced an 8″ Android tablet system that has the added value of a quick
conversion to a safe in-vehicle rear seat entertainment system through its unique mounting
mechanism…and it doubles as a charger–charging the tablet in the vehicle when the tablet is
docked into the seatback docking station. In addition, the seatback dock enables wireless FM
playback of audio content through the vehicle sound system or for private listening IR
headphones via a built in dual channel wireless IR transmitter.
“Audiovox has been a leader in the rear seat entertainment space from its inception because we
continue to deliver products and application solutions that make sense to the consumer,” said
Tom Malone, President of VOXX Electronics Corp. “This new
systems follows the consumer trend toward more portable
devices without losing sight of the safety concerns that all
parents have with their children in the back seat. With our
system you get the best of both worlds…the flexibility of a
tablet with the security of a mounted RSE system.”
The Audiovox Seatback Android System mounts to the
vehicle’s headrest posts. The tablet comes equipped with a
retractable arm that can be used as a stand for out-of-vehicle
use, as well as a clamp that safely and securely locks the tablet
to the Audiovox universal headrest docking station. The tablet
also has a swivel capability enabling portrait and landscape positioning.
The Audiovox Android tablet device is Google Play certified and features capacitive touch
screen technology, HDMI output and USB/SD inputs along with front and rear cameras.
Additionally, the tablet includes a mic, Bluetooth capabilities and is WIFITM
enabled for on the
go use. The system’s seatback dock includes dual channel headphone support, a full band FM
transmitter, as well as a vehicle power cable, home USB charging cable and an IR headphone.
The docking system is enabled for use with Bluetooth, IR headphones and earbuds.
The Audiovox Seatback Android System will be available March 2014, with a suggested retail of
$299.99
