HTC-One-M8

Verizon Wireless has done it yet again by releasing the new HTC One M8 on their lightning fast 4G LTE network.I got the chance to spend a couple months with this wonderful device and luckily was upgrading from the original HTC One so I was able to do a fantastic comparison. Interested in learning more about this device? Well read on to find out!

Upon first opening the box with the phone inside I noticed the completely different color of the device itself. Instead of the silver design this has more of a gunmetal grey color to it. 5″ Super LCD3 screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The One M8 has a pixel density 441 ppi  which is greater than both the Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 5S. Another big change is that the sides top and bottom are all rounded more and smooth. The second biggest difference in these two phones is that the headphone port is on the bottom next to the charger port and the power on button is on the right instead of the left. That took some getting used to but ultimately made no real difference. And finally the old physical back and home buttons were eliminated and turned into the onscreen ones, which personally I am not a fan of.

Aside from the appearance of the phone itself, a new and notable feature is the fact that the rear facing camera is not only one camera but instead two. They used the Duo Camera with UltraPixel on the rear and a 5mp camera on the front. The front facing camera does take amazing shots which is perfect for all those snap chat selfies. The only downside for the front facing camera is that the lighting is a bit off if it is a bit dimmer. The rear camera however takes crystal clear shots and the auto focus feature works extremely well. This phone also has the rapid shot feature just like the original where if you hold the camera button it will take a continuous shot of pictures and allow you to pick the best one.

Just like the original One, the One M8 still has the speakers on the front, which is probably the greatest feature ever put into a phone. The difference is that the M8 doesn’t have Beats Audio built in, instead it has HTC BoomSound built in which amplifies the sound up to 25% louder than the original One. The music feature on the original One was wonderful and to have them improve on it was the best idea HTC has come up with.

Powering the HTC One M8 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad Core processor running at up too 2300 MHz. There is also a Adreno 330 graphics processor.  The One M8 has 2GB of onboard RAM and 32 GB of usable memory for your apps, music, and video. If that isn’t enough space, the M8 can handle up too a 128 GB microSD card for a total capacity of  160 GB of storage. Just being able to add space is another huge benefit over most other phones.

Overall if you are in the market for a new phone and you want one that will last, will keep you happy and will have all the features you need to make the phone fulfill all your needs than this is the one. The new HTC One M8 is made with complete care and designed to last through the elements. If you would like more information or to purchase yours today, head over to your local Verizon Wireless or online to VZW.
