Pittsburgh—Everyone hosts some kind of bracket these days!  But, this bracket is the only one for Pittsburghers!  The 3rd annual #ThingsThatTurnPeopleIntoJagoffs bracket is ready to go. Voting will start tomorrow, March 22nd, on the Pittsburgh blog, www.YaJagoff.com.

Today on the blog, the Sweet 16 participants were revealed but NOT their bracket positions. Bracketing remains a secret until the voting starts to try and keep down the number of Vegas handicappers getting in on the deal!

So, what do you do? You look at the Sweet 16 list below and you get ready to vote, starting tomorrow. Voting will occur each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the Final Round taking place on April 2nd and the Champion being announced on April 4th. No bracket activity on Tuesdays because that is when the weekly YaJagoff Podcast posts and, for GAWSH SAKES, we can’t bump THAT important asset to the community!

The 2018 #ThingsThatTurnPeopleIntoJagoffs Sweet 16 list:

  • Subarus – Because they ALL drive slow it seems
  • Selfie Stalkers – Obsessed selfie-takers in public places or constantly posting selfies on social media
  • #PeterParkers – These are Jagoffs who don’t know how to park their cars between the lines! Tons of ‘em on the blog!
  • Buses that don’t pull to the curb – Port Authority buses that don’t pull to the curb to pick up their customers AND also, block traffic while they are stopped!
  • Alcohol (a contender every year) – pretty much a key “Jagoff Maker” on a daily basis.
  • Grocery Store Aisle Blockers (Talkers and Buggy Pushers) This was the 2017 Bracket Winner!
  • Buses that block downtown intersections – You’ve seen it! Buses that pull through intersections in downtown rush hour. We HATE that!
  • Texting While Crosswalk – You give the wave, from your car, to let someone cross. They saunter across while texting! URRRGH!
  • Pet Wardrobe – Do pets really need sweaters?
  • Late Pizza Deliveries – Not too much of a biggie but worth including because if you are HANGRY, this can be serious stuff.
  • Smart Phones on Buses – Does this really need to be explained?
  • Smart Phones in Airports – Another one that needs no explanation!
  • “This Is Us” Tweeters – I get it! People like the show but, filling twitter lines with how the tears flowed is crazy. Go watch something funny!
  • Chronic Snifflers in Church – Take a minute to blow THAT nose!
  • Chronic Coughers on Public Transportation – At least cover that big mouth, hacker!
  • Road Construction “Merge Here” Signs – Is a YouTube how-to video in order?
  • Food Samples at Costco – Food samples make people NUTZ as they hover around and block aisles just for a free cracker garnished with chicken salad.
  • Public Displays of Affection – So, love is in the air. A kiss, some hand holding may be ok but, is there really a need to sandwich together loudly and so publicly?

Voting starts 3/22/2018 at 7am!
