Las Vegas, NV – Thursday January 9th 2014. Thursday night at the official awards of CES
show in the Las Vegas Convention Centre, AIRTAME was named the Best Startup of CES
2014. The startup from Denmark was highlighted amongst thousands of other startups that
were representing at CES, and were understandably very happy with the award.
“We are over the moon with the response that we have been receiving” says Jonas Gyalokay,
CEO of AIRTAME “The competition here is very tough, we literally have innovation oozing out
of every corner here at CES.”
The startup was only registered as a company in September 2013 “From when the idea was
conceived a little over 2 years ago, I never would have thought we were able to come so far,
so quickly with such great results” says Attila Sukosd, CTO of AIRTAME. He continues, “We
are very satisfied with the performance of the product to date – even with the busy internet
traffic within CES exhibition halls, we are able to achieve latency of around 40-50 milliseconds
– considering Chromecast only sits around the 1-2 seconds mark in good connection
conditions, I think we are able to prove how robust our code is.”
Since the announcement of the nomination less than 24 hours ago, the campaign has gone
through a change of gears, with a staggering +$95k received in campaign funding in the past
day alone.
“It’s been great to show off the product to the public and let them try it out, as since we started

our campaign a little over 6 weeks ago, all the feedback has been done virtually through our

Indiegogo page” says Brian Kyed, CMO of AIRTAME. He continues “From the beginning we
had a lot of questions about the comparison to our competitors but it have been rather
refreshing that those questions seem quite redundant once people try it – people quickly
understand why it’s so different and realize the potential of it.”
Having features like duplication to one or more screens, extended desktop and PC-PC
streaming from Mac, Windows and Linux computers, AIRTAME has lead to calls of
comparison such as a ‘miracast dongle on steroids’ by one of the senior jury members of the
award.
The startup is still campaigning at Indiegogo and has received over $600k in the last 6 weeks.
With just over a week to go, the bar is set high with the final target set at an eye-watering
figure of over $1m.
