Griffin Introduces StudioConnect HD, an All-in-One Multi-Track Recording Interface for iOS and Mac OS X

Griffin, having recently expanded its offerings for musicians and announced a deal with music distribution giant Hal Leonard, now showcases StudioConnect HD and Guitar Sidekick, two products that tap into the power of Apple’s iOS and Mac OS X platforms to help enhance musical creativity.

StudioConnect HD, $199.99, is an all-in-one, high definition audio interface for multi-track recording, the only device of its kind that records multiple tracks simultaneously to iOS or Mac OS X. Constructed of rugged, weighted metal, StudioConnect HD also serves as a stable charging platform. StudioConnect HD is compatible with both Lightning and 30-pin iPad models and includes a Type A USB cable for connecting to a computer running Mac OS X. StudioConnect HD accommodates Core Audio recording apps for iPad, along with Mac OS X based Digital Audio Workstations, and works great with:

  • Auria (iOS)
  • GarageBand (iOS and OS X)
  • Logic Pro X (OS X)
  • JamUp / BIAS (iOS)

Designed by pro audio engineers for serious musicians and producers, StudioConnect HD provides great sounding plug-and-play convenience for microphones, guitars, basses and keyboards in one compact device. Features include:

SideKick
Griffin is also introducing the new Guitar Sidekick, $19.99, a clamp that lets guitarists, bassists and other fretted instrument players mount their smartphone or smartphone-sized media players on their instruments. Affixed to the guitar’s headstock at the end of the neck, Guitar Sidekick gives musicians convenient access to music lessons and tutorials, tablature and chord charts, and amazing tools like tuning and recording apps right on their smartphones. The adjustable clamp has no effect on tuning or playability and easily fits in a pocket or case.
