Lets start out at the beginning. The base of this case combo is the Perseus A.M.S Case. This is a silicone case that gives you all around protection for your phone. This Perseus A.M.S has extra silicon at the corners for added drop protection whether used by itself or in combination with the Kraken Exoskeleton. The case fits securely around your phone and has a textured back to help avoid accidental drops. The silicone itself is also not slick to prevent drops also. The silicon case has cut outs for the camera, volume buttons, mute slider, power port, speakers, and the ever important Apple Logo. . The home button and power buttons have a raise silicone button for use with the Kraken Exoskeleton. There is also the Trident Company Logo on the back of the case. The Perseus A.M.S. case also comes with a screen protector to keep your screen looking good at all times. Price is $14.95 and available in 9 different colors.

Next we have the Kraken A.M.S Exoskeleton. This Exoskeleton is used in conjunction with the Perseus A.M.S. Silicone Case. The Kraken is a hardened polycarbonate plastic that helps protect your phone against drops, bumps, and scrapes. The Kraken A.M.S. is a two piece shell that fits firmly over the Perseus. There are openings for the ear piece and front facing camera, home button, power button, camera, power port, headphone jack, and Apple logo. The ports for the headphone jack, power port, and mute slider all have silicon plugs over them to help keep out dirt. There is also openings on all four corners for the added thickness of the extra silicon on the Perseus A.M.S Case for drop protection. There is no opening on the case for the speakers. This case surrounds the entire phone including part of the face of the phone. The case sticks out far enough to protect the phone during drops but not enough to hinder the use of the touch screen. There is also a built-in touch screen that keeps your phone scratch free. The Kraken A.M.S also includes a removable metal kick stand for use on your desk or when watching movies. Also included is a Swivel belt clip that the Kraken A.M.S. Exoskeleton snaps into. Price for the Kraken A.M.S Exoskeleton is $34.95 and available in 6 colors

The Perseus A.M.S Case in itself is a nice case. I did have a slight problem where the silicon on top near the volume button would sometimes slid down on the side. The case also provides decent drop protection especially in the corners. With the Kraken A.M.S. Exoskeleton on the combination give you excellent drop and scratch protection. the fact that the exoskeleton snaps together with tabs means you don’t have to worry about the case coming apart with just a slight bump. The inclusion of the belt clip completes the package. The clip holds onto the phone securely so you don’t have to worry about it easily falling out.

Trident also sells accessories for your case in the way of clips to mount your phone to your bike, a tripod, windshield mount, and a universal clip and clamp to mount your phone to almost anything.

The combination will set you back about $49.90 plus shipping and tax all US orders right now receive free shipping. (as of 2-19-2013). Overall it is a highly recommended case that could save you your deductible on a new phone if you happen to drop it. Check out Trident Case for this and all the other fine cases they sell for a number of different smart phones and tablets.
