Arsenal Flagship CD Player CES 2014

Las Vegas, Jan 7, 2014 – JVC Mobile Entertainment, the premier developer and manufacturer of sophisticated mobile, audio, and video products, today introduced three new CD receivers and two new Multimedia receivers in its Arsenal line that will be available in the U.S. starting this month. Two new Multimedia receivers are both SiriusXM-Ready™ and compatible with the SXV200 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required).  Dual Zone function allowing both rear seat and front seat passengers to view different content sources is also included in multimedia models. Twenty apps for iPhone® 4 and 4s are also supported for on-screen control including navigation apps such as MotionX-GPS Drive and Waze, as well as music streaming apps such as Tune-In Radio and Pandora Internet Radio. CD Receivers feature front illuminated USB ports for connection of USB based flash drives and compatible smartphone devices as well as detachable faceplate security and 6-key preset station keys on the front faceplate. New CD models will also include double the amount of available preset EQ settings from six to twelve and new digital processing tuners for better AM and FM reception quality.

Receivers with built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology support hands-free phone calls and wireless music streaming as well as one push voice dialing, POI search, music cueing, and other phone function controls via Siri Eyes-Free-Mode for supported iOS devices and via voice command for compatible smartphones. CD Receivers support JVC’s own “JVC Smart Music Control” app, a free download on Google Play, which acts as a Bluetooth® based Android wireless remote control for the receiver by allowing operation of almost all key functions wirelessly via voice and touch commands. The app has increased its feature set this year allowing users to change parametric EQ settings, sync their receiver’s illumination colors to the current music playing, and receive voice commands from supported navigation apps simultaneously during music playback.

Pandora® Internet Radio control is available on six out of seven Arsenal models while operation of iHeartRadio via the receiver keys is available on two receivers. Apps are supported via a connected iPhone® through a USB connection and allow the user to access key functions such as: station selection, play, pause, and new custom station creation from the receiver’s controls. Those with Android phones can use these apps with robust control over a wireless Bluetooth® connection as well. For CD models, dedicated thumb-up and thumb down (skip) keys for the apps are located on the receiver while song information is displayed on both CD and Multimedia models during listening. Multimedia receivers also show on-screen album artwork from the song or station which is currently playing.

All Multimedia and CD Receivers in the Arsenal Lineup include a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
