FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – January 15, 2014- Groundbreaking wireless speaker company, Libratone Inc. is making an impression on the Chicago art and design world. Today, the Chicago Athenaeum announced that the Libratone Zipp is a winner of the 2013 GOOD DESIGN™ award for Design Excellence. Additionally, Libratone’s award-winning Zipp and Live are now on display in the Department of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago.

“Design is an integral part of Libratone speakers, so to be recognized is an honor,” said Libratone Inc. CEO, Gregg Stein. “To be a permanent fixture at such a prestigious museum shows that the world is seeing Libratone speakers as we intend them to be—pieces of art.”

GOOD DESIGN ™ is the world’s most prestigious, recognized, and oldest Design Awards program organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
