FRAMINGHAM, Mass. March 24, 2014 – Danish-based speaker company Libratone’s most recently launched speaker, the Loop, has won the prestigious Red Dot Award in the Product Design category. The Loop, a wireless speaker that delivers Libratone’s signature FullRoom™ sound in a chic circular silhouette, was awarded the prize for high design quality. This isn’t the first time the Loop has been recognized for design excellence; since the October 2013 launch, the Loop has been awarded the iF Product Design Award, the Good Design Award and was an honoree for the CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award.
Launched in the fall of 2013, the versatile Libratone Loop features a duo stand and elegant wall-mount, making placement in the home incredibly easy and flexible. The slim, stylish speaker impressed the Red Dot jurors, who award the sought-after seal of quality to products that set themselves apart significantly due to excellent design. The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s largest product competitions with 4,815 entries from 53 countries entered for evaluation by an international panel of experts in 2014.

Around 1,200 guests from around the world will gather in Essen, Germany on July 7, 2014 for the Red Dot awards ceremony. The award-winning products from the 2014 Red Dot Award: Product Design category will be presented in an impressive special exhibition from July 8 to August 3, 2014.
The Loop is available at Apple retail stores and online at www.libratone.com for $499.95. Dressed in Libratone’s characteristic Italian wool, the Loop comes in Pepper Black, Salty Grey and Raspberry Red. Additional covers are sold separately; colors include Pineapple Yellow, Passion Pink, Plum Purple, Petrol Blue and Icy Blue.
