LaMetric: Digital Personal Assistant Launches Today

London – June 17, 2014 – Smart Atoms, a group of tech visionaries, designers and engineers, introduces LaMetric, a smart ticker that displays all the information you need, when you need it. The smart clock launches on Kickstarter today as the first standalone, customizable, hackable ticker that tracks key metrics and displays them in real-time. This uniquely retro clock can be set up to tell you the events on your calendar for the day, the temperature or even to count down the days until your new baby is born. LaMetric eliminates the need to check multiple apps or news sites for the information you need. Instead, you receive everything at a glance, all in one place, in real-time. The possibilities are endless.

Perfect for home or business, LaMetric is customizable through its app that allows you to combine icons, scrolling text, metrics and changes, goals, days, trends and sounds. It doesn’t stop there. LaMetric is compatible with IFTTT, to show you any information you want from the recipes you create on that platform. LaMetric can also be integrated with several home automation systems like SmartThings™, WigWag or Ninja Blocks. Be notified when your pet leaves your yard, when someone is at your front door, or even when a package is delivered. Set up is effortless. Simply plug in your LaMetric, launch the mobile app and connect to Wi-Fi to set up your widget rules. After set up, everything is controlled on your LaMetric with no mobile device connection necessary.

Get news about your favorite topics by connecting LaMetric to any RSS feed or integrating your email. You can even respond to notifications by simply pressing the “action” button on top of your LaMetric. For example, if you have a meeting notification pop up, you can press your action button and scroll through different actions, such as notifying attendees you will be five minutes late or declining the meeting all together. Or when LaMetric notifies you of a new Facebook message, simply tap the action button to open Facebook on your browser. Check out how it works here.

LaMetric’s interactive digital simulator  lets you experience the smart ticker’s customization possibilities before it even hits backers’ doorsteps. The simulator shows how you can create your own icons, messages and sounds using LaMetric. Smart Atoms will invite developers to hack the device and create any and all rules of their own through its open API.

Tracking what’s important to you not only includes your personal life but also work life. With LaMetric, instead of having team members scramble to gather the latest business numbers, stock reflections and Facebook likes, LaMetric can easily display all this info, viewable to the entire team in the conference room due to its bright, sharp, square pixels. Set up LaMetric in the window of your retail shop to display Facebook likes and entice passers-by to come in and shop.

LaMetric Uses

LaMetric will feature several pledge levels, for both plug-in and battery operated units. Perfect for outdoor workouts like CrossFit, use your battery-operated LaMetric to set seven minute timers for your favorite interval strength training exercises. The easy-to-view stop clock helps you know when it’s time to push it for those last few seconds.

A plug-in LaMetric is available for $89 at Super Early Bird Level, $119 at Early Bird Level and $129 for Kickstarter Edition Level. The Lithium-Ion, rechargeable battery-operated LaMetric will run you $119 at Super Early Bird, $139 at Early Bird and $149 at Kickstarter Edition. You can even get a Life and Business Set with one battery-operated and one plug-in LaMetric for $199 Super Early Bird, $249 Early Bird and $269 Kickstarter Edition. With the campaign running until August 1, get them while they last.
