Dashlane To Support Apple’s New Face ID Technology

NEW YORKSept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — The world’s leading password manager Dashlane proudly continues its innovation within the Apple ecosystem. Following Apple’s keynote announcement, which confirmed the facial recognition feature, the company’s developers are hard at work to deploy the new technology to provide Dashlane users an unprecedented level of security.

Face ID captures more data points than fingerprints and works faster than Touch ID, thus providing more security and convenience. Dashlane will work with Face ID the same way that it does with Touch ID by letting users securely authenticate logins with their face.

Face ID is backed by advanced 3-D depth perception technology that prevents hackers from using 2-D pictures or masks to hack phones. This technology also captures more data points than fingerprints, thus providing Dashlane users with an unprecedented level of protection for their passwords and personal data.

“Immediately implementing Face ID is just one of the many ways we’re optimizing the Dashlane experience for Apple users,” said CEO Emmanuel Schalit. “It’s important for us to continue innovating within the Apple ecosystem as nearly two thirds of our iOS users currently use Touch ID. Our ultimate goal is to support the latest security safeguards for every phone and every consumer.”
