The First Aftermarket Unlock For CarPlay In Mercedes

CRUX Interfacing is offering a radical new interface for many Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The interface unlocks the CarPlay and Android Auto features in many Mercedes vehicles, even if the customer did not order the option from the factory.

The interface is a simple module that plugs into an OBD2 port and then automatically runs a program for 30 seconds, essentially commanding the car radio to unlock CarPlay and Android Auto.

Users remove the OBD2 device after 30 seconds and then get full access to CarPlay and Android Auto including voice control and steering wheel control.

No radio replacement is required and there is nothing to install.

The interface module works with Mercedes vehicles with the Command NTG5.1 audio system.

Shipping and pricing will be announced at CES next month as well as a full list of compatible Mercedes-Benz models.

CRUX will display at CES at booth #7709 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 5-8.
