Rear View Safety to Present at Vision Zero Fleet Safety Forum

NEW YORKNov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Rear View Safety, an industry leader in the sales and marketing of vehicle safety solutions, including backup camera systems, backup sensor systems, driver fatigue systems, mobile DVR’s, and dash cameras, is presenting at the Vision Zero Fleet Safety Forum in Queens, New York, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

The Vision Zero Safety Fleet Forum is sponsored by NYC Fleet.  The annual event brings together professionals representing private fleets, safety equipment suppliers, federal, state and city agencies and universities focusing on the collective goal of vehicle safety. The forum is used to exchange best practices, promote cutting edge vehicle safety technology and provide education to fleet managers about Vision Zero.

Rear View Safety’s Director of Sales, Jean-Paul (JP) Weaver is part of a distinguished lineup of speakers presenting at the Safety Forum. Weaver will discuss the dangers of drowsy driving and driver fatigue, as well as ways to combat this dangerous epidemic. According the National Sleep Foundation, 60% of adult drivers have driven while drowsy and 37% have actually fallen asleep at the wheel. Drowsy driving claimed 846 lives in 2014, according the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“Drowsy driving is a preventable problem,” Said Weaver. “As a strong safety leader and advocate, it’s important that we are all on the same page about this issue. Everyone needs to understand best practices and learn about the most up-to-date safety technology,” Weaver continued.

The Vision Zero Safety Fleet Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 20178:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Queens Theater in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
