UBISOFT ANNOUNCES TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON® WILDLANDS PVP DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE
SAN FRANCISCO — November 16, 2017 — Today, Ubisoft announced the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands PvP development schedule, which details a steady rollout of new content releases into 2018. The schedule begins with the new Interference update, which launches simultaneously on all available platforms today, November 16. Keeping in line with the goal of the development schedule, this update expands Ghost War’s scope, adding a new class, new maps, as well as a new game mode: Uplink.
Over the next few months, Ghost War will continue to grow with the release of several free content updates, including new classes, new modes and maps, as well as gameplay balancing adjustments. All new modes, new maps and gameplay updates will always be free and available simultaneously to all players.
In addition to a total of five new maps, the Interference update includes:
- Uplink: A 4v4 objective-based mode in which rival teams fight for the control of an access point situated at the center of the map. Building upon Ghost War’s class gameplay and unique mechanics, Uplink comes with four exclusive maps and will incite players to adapt their playstyles and come up with new strategies.
- The Disruptor: A new Assault class available in all PvP modes expands the Ghost War roster to 14 unique classes. The Disruptor provides players with new tactical options when building their squad. Equipped with a jamming device, the Disruptor creates chaos and opportunities by interfering with the enemy HUD, including the team’s markers, mini-map information and notifications.
Interference also includes new gear and gameplay updates for both the base game and the PvP modes. For all information about the update and the full list of additions and improvements, please visit ghostrecon.com/interference.
“Our team’s vision for Ghost War has always been to create an experience that would grow following the initial launch,” said Nouredine Abboud, senior producer. “We have received tremendous feedback from our players so far, with our daily active users nearly doubling since the launch of Ghost War.”
To celebrate the launch of the first Ghost War update, Ubisoft announced that the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Ghost War Pass is now available for stand-alone purchase on all digital stores for $14.99 and is now included as part of the original season pass. This premium membership will instantly unlock every new class added to Ghost War with an exclusive seven-day early access. Current season pass owners will get the same benefits. At the end of each early access period, all other players will be able to unlock new classes with prestige credits earned through progression or by purchasing them in the in-game store.
New players looking for an opportunity to try Ghost War can download the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands free trial offer now available on all available platforms, which grants full access to the main campaign and the PvP modes until they reach five hours of playtime. All progress achieved during the free trial will carry over when they purchase the full game.
Developed by Ubisoft Paris,* Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a military shooter entirely playable in up to four-player co-op or single-player from beginning to end. Players have total freedom to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions. Each choice has a consequence, and players must improvise or adapt their plans to ensure the completion and success of each mission. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Ghost War allows players to live the ultimate co-op experience in 4v4 modes. Featuring a growing roster of classes, maps and modes, Ghost War focuses on teamwork, strategy and tensed tactical engagements.

About Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
Launched in 2001 with critical acclaim from fans of the Tom Clancy’s world, the Ghost Recon franchise has since convinced 25 million players thanks to breakthrough releases and has become the best-selling Tom Clancy’s brand on the last generation of consoles and PC. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands brings the franchise to the next level with an episode designed from the ground up for a new generation, featuring a massive and visually stunning open world, playable for the first time online in four-player co-op.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a work of fiction. Like similar Tom Clancy’s games from Ubisoft, the game takes place in a modern universe inspired by reality, but the characters, locations and stories are created solely for entertainment purposes. One of the reasons Bolivia was chosen as the background of this game was due to its magnificent landscapes and rich culture. While the game’s premise imagines a different reality than the one that exists in Bolivia today, we do hope that the in-game world comes close to representing the country’s beautiful topography, and that players enjoy exploring the diverse and open landscapes it moved us to create. Any resemblance to actual events or any real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
