BOISE, IdahoJan. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The recently launched Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 offers powerful capabilities to enterprise and industrial users. Industry professionals expect the product to see significant adoption across multiple industries. As large organizations adopt new hardware like tablets and handhelds, specific accessories and additional components are required to maximize the capabilities of the new hardware. Consumer grade single-slot charging solutions are not a viable option for enterprise users in most applications. A specific example is the need to charge multiple devices simultaneously, while minimizing the desktop footprint, and simplifying cable / connector complexity.  To address this, Portsmith offers a five-slot charging dock compatible with the Galaxy Tab Active2.

“For businesses adopting the new Samsung tablet products, a simple, reliable charging solution that can handle multiple devices at the same time will be essential to a successful implementation,” says Ryan Gray, President of Portsmith. “As the Tab Active2 launches, the Portsmith multi-slot dock is the only product on the market with these capabilities.”

Additional features that matter to enterprise users include maximum-rate charging for all five tablets in the dock, durable pogo-pin interface that is less prone to breakage, over-current protection, and FCC Class B / CE compliance.

The Portsmith multi-slot dock was introduced in 2015 for use with the original Samsung Galaxy Tab Active. With over four thousand five-slot charging docks in use, the product has already enabled enterprise deployment of twenty thousand Samsung Galaxy Tab Active tablets. The compatibility with the Tab Active2 has been tested and validated. The multi-slot dock is available now and is shipping to users in North America, EU, AustraliaNew Zealand, and Japan.

Portsmith is the leading provider of Ethernet cradles, adapters, docks and accessories for handheld mobile computers and tablets — designed and built for the VAR and distribution channel, specializing in enterprise applications. Portsmith products are used worldwide with installations approaching over one million units.
