LAS VEGASJan. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The MakePi team are bursting at the proverbial seams to show the MakePad to the world at CES, 2018. Their booth (#52905) will be in the Sands Hall G, Eureka Park. Be sure to join in the conversation with the MakePi team about the MakePad, and how we can improve STEM education.

It’s Time for the MakePad

The MakePad story all began with one simple mission— “To make the learning of code possible for everyone.” They are also proponents of the ‘maker culture’— a movement which encourages a DIY approach to designing, building, creating and learning. With these objectives firmly in mind, the team at MakePi set about designing a simple and intuitive DIY tablet that would effortlessly teach coding to kids as young as five.

The MakePad is different from what’s currently on the market in three key areas— ease of useaffordability and accessibility. Indeed, the MakePad is interactive, self-explanatory and easy as pie to operate. The inbuilt Raspberry-Pi based processing technology offers serious processing power at a fraction of the cost. Internet is not required to operate the device, meaning that it’s more accessible to more kids, especially to those in developing or isolated areas.

The MakePad is now complete; ready and raring to go for CES, 2018.

CES is the global stage for innovation— a lively four-day conference where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. Companies from across the globe will be showing off their latest innovations, and experts will be offering their insightful commentary on the rapidly evolving world of technology.

Some 184,000 people attended the event in 2017, with some 4,000 companies exhibiting their creations. CES is truly epic, and you won’t want to miss one day of the action. The next CES conference will be held in Las Vegas, NVJanuary 9-12, 2018.

Present for CES and TechCo, Startup Night is an event that will get 15 innovate startups to pitch their ideas and MakePi was selected! Join them at Gold Spike, 217 Las Vegas Blvd, on January 8.

Just so you know, the MakePad will be available by way of a crowdfunding campaign, and is set for release February 2018. You can lend your support, and get first dibs on the MakePad by signing up.
