Phoenix Gold Intros RX2 Series

Phoenix Gold announced at the CES Show last week the RX2 replacements for its RX line, the entry level to its premium series.

The new line includes “aggressive price moves” to lower price points, and more Class D options, plus a 30 percent reduction in size, so the amps may fit under the seat, said Kevin Kuenzie, Senior Manager, Audio Products for Phoenix Gold parent AAMP Global.

The RX2 line includes five amplifiers; three mono models, a 4-channel and a 5-channel.

The RX605 is replaced by a new 5-channel RX2 750.5, with a higher power rating of 750 watts for the same suggested retail price of $385. In 5-channel mode it delivers 60 watts x 4 @ 4 ohms + 250 watts x 1 @ 4 ohm or 90 watts x 4 @ 2 ohms + 400 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms.

The line ships in April at prices from $185 to $385.
