CANTON, GA, Jan. 4, 2018 – RockingBed.com will be displaying its newly designed Rocking Bed at CES from January 9 – 12, Booth #52501 in Eureka Park. Rocking Bed (patent pending) is a revolutionary new bed designed to help you sleep better by rocking you to sleep.

Mothers from all walks of life have understood how the gentle motion of rocking promotes relaxation and provides a faster way for their babies to fall asleep. Rocking chairs, bassinets, swings, and other popular baby items all attest to the power of the gentle sway associated with rocking.

There has never been a commercially available Rocking Bed for adults, until now.  The Rocking Bed has been designed to simulate the same motion found in infant cribs, hammocks, planes, trains, cruise ships, etc., that has been scientifically found to help facilitate getting to sleep easier.

Science Behind The Technology – Rocking synchronizes brain waves during a short nap.

As published in a 2011 study (http://www.cell.com/current-biology/pdf/S0960-9822(11)00539-2.pdf), “We show that lying on a slowly rocking bed (0.25 Hz) facilitates the transition from waking to sleep, and increases the duration of stage N2 sleep. Rocking also induces a sustained boosting of slow oscillations and spindle activity. It is proposed that sensory stimulation associated with a swinging motion exerts a synchronizing action in the brain that reinforces endogenous sleep rhythms. These results thus provide scientific support to the traditional belief that rocking can soothe our sleep.”

Rocking Bed Benefits

  • Facilitates smoother transition to sleep.  Helps you get to sleep faster.
  • A ridiculously soothing feeling of once again being cradled in comfort.
  • Falling asleep sooner means more sleep and feeling better rested the next day.

The Technology

The Rocking Bed is designed with supreme simplicity in mind. The rocking bed consists of a simple yet effective frame fitted with an ultra-quiet German engineered motor that when powered on, creates a seamless motion similar to that provided by baby cribs and bassinets, or sleeping on a cruise ship.

By simply replacing your boxsprings, our patent-pending rocking beds for adults are designed to work with your existing frame and mattress.  We believe in keeping things simple, and our rocking bed is no exception to this rule. It doesn’t have an excessive amount of unnecessary bells and whistles but rather focuses on the necessary components needed to provide a gentle and relaxing motion that has been scientifically proven to enhance getting to sleep easier.

About RockingBed.com
Inventor Mark Russell and his wife Lori went on a cruise and for the first time experienced their bed gently rocking back and forth and got the best sleep of their life.  Upon returning home, they were frustrated because there was no commercially available product that recreated that gently rocking motion. Frustrated, they wondered…   “With virtually every single human being on earth having been rocked to sleep as babies, how had this never been invented?”  So on went the boots with a firm grasp of the straps!  For three years they slogged through 10 prototypes to finally land on the beautifully designed go-to-market-ready prototype debuting for the first time at CES 2018 Eureka Park Booth #52501.
