Sharp® Gets Tails Wagging: Shares Top of the Line Air Purifier with NYC’s First Ever NYC Dog-Friendly Café
MONTVALE, N.J., Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Sharp Home Electronics Company of America (SHCA) is giving dog lovers something to bark about as the company partners with Boris & Horton, New York City’s first Department of Health approved dog-friendly café. SHCA will provide the café with its Plasmacluster Ion® air purifier to help maintain a clean and fresh environment for guests and man’s best friend.
“Our exclusive patented Plasmacluster Ion® technology can reduce microscopic pollutants that traditional filters cannot trap,” said Peter Weedfald, SVP of Sales and Marketing, SEMCA. “We’re excited to partner with Boris & Horton to help provide cleaner, fresher air, and even remove odors embedded in carpeting, drapery and furniture, with the Plasmacluster Ion® air purifier, so they can lead the pack in dog-friendly establishments.”
SHCA’s Plasmacluster Ion® patented technology creates ions that are both positive and negative and disperses them into the air. Plasmacluster Ions® actively attach to airborne odors and pollutants, pull them apart, and then float away harmlessly as water vapor. The long-life, True HEPA and charcoal filters remove 99.97% of particles and eliminate odors from the air that passes through the filter.
Sharp Plasmacluster Ion® Technology has been tested and confirmed in 17 tests by laboratories in the USA, as well as in the U.K., Germany, Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam to significantly reduce certain bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungus. This includes a test that showed PCI technology to be effective in reducing the infectivity of adherent Canine Influenza1. Sharp Plasmacluster Ion®Technology has been used in over 60 million products worldwide since 2001.
“We want Boris & Horton to feel like a second home to our guests and their canine companions,” said co-founder, Logan Mikhly. “That’s why we’re even more excited to partner with Sharp and receive their Plasmacluster Air Purifier that helps reduce lingering odors and bacteria in the café, ultimately providing a better environment for all.”
Boris & Horton opened on February 2nd and is located in New York’s East Village at 195 Avenue A. To learn more about SHCA’s Plasmacluster® Ion technology visit SharpUSA.com.
