ORLANDO, FL. – VOXX Electronics Corporation (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX), announced today the introduction of the “Foot Wave” to the Advent Power Liftgate lineup. This foot activated technology will detect the authorized user, and will allow them to activate the Power Liftgate and/or Trunk offering, adding convenience by providing hands-free opening to the back hatch.

“This is a great accessory add-on to our Power Liftgate category. Not only will this control our aftermarket Power Liftgate products, it can also be installed on any vehicle that has PKE, which increases the amount of applications for this system,” said Aron Demers, Senior Vice President, VOXX Electronics Corporation.

The Power Liftgate System is a fully equipped plug-n-play module that seamlessly integrates with an existing factory keyless entry system to control via foot activation or remote control, while also offering keyless solutions with buttons conveniently located at the front and rear of the vehicle. Simply press, wave and go, let the Power Liftgate take care of the rest. Additionally, this system features adjustable height settings, allowing users to control the opening height of the Liftgate and providing Smart Protection against closing when objects are present for added safety and convenience.

The Foot Activated Power Liftgate system is available late first quarter for an MSRP of $150.00.
