Casio G-SHOCK Re-Introduces DW6900 With Stealth Military Collection
DOVER, N.J., March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Casio G-SHOCK re-introduces the iconic men’s DW6900 case design with a new Stealth Military collection. Featuring three new colorways of black with khaki accents (DW6900LU-1), green with orange accents (DW6900LU-3) and grey with blue (DW6900LU-8); this collection revives one of the earliest G-SHOCK case designs.
“We’re excited to bring back the iconic DW6900 case,” says David Johnson, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “It is a model that reflects on G-SHOCK’s history while staying relevant with today’s style trends.”
In addition to featuring Casio G-SHOCK’s iconic shape, the Stealth Military collection also includes the brand’s popular two-tone layered color band – juxtaposing the colorways found on the case and front part of the band with a contrasting shade on the backside.
Each model also comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of 200M water resistance and shock resistance, as well as an EL backlight, flash alert, multi-function alarm, 1/100th second stopwatch and countdown timer, and 12/24 formats – all in a 50mm case.
The DW6900LU-1, DW6900LU-3 and DW6900LU-8 will retail for $99 and are available for purchase at select Macy’s, select ZUMIEZ, shopcasio.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho Store.
About G-SHOCK
CASIO’s shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe’s dream of ‘creating a watch that never breaks’. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as ‘the toughest watch of all time’. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe’s mantra “never, never give up.” www.gshock.com
