OnHand Launches Industry-First Wireless Charging System — DOQ and Powerwallet — on Indiegogo

BOSTONMarch 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — OnHand, a Massachusetts-based technology accessories company, announced today the launch of its Indiegogo campaign for DOQ and Powerwallet, the first wireless charging system for all devices. The 30-day campaign begins at 8 a.m. ET on Thursday, March 1, with the initial goal of raising $25,000. Early backers can secure a DOQ and Powerwallet starting at $194, which is over 40 percent off the retail price of $348. Levels include Super Early Bird pricing for DOQ and Powerwallet (sold together or separate), as well as a VIP CES Experience where two backers will join OnHand CEO Andrew Kitzenberg at the show in Las Vegas. Winners, plus a guest, will get two nights on the Las Vegas Strip and passes to CES, as well as a brainstorming dinner with Kitzenberg.

OnHand was founded in 2010, originally named Memory On Hand, with the intention of creating superior technology accessories for students. Since its inception, the company has launched two successful Kickstarter campaigns for The MoH Band™ and Speaker Creatures, raising a combined nearly $50,000 with over 900 backers, and currently sells its popular tech accessories at over 700 on-campus retailers throughout the country.

Onhand is launching two new innovative products – DOQ and Powerwallet. Powerwallet is designed to solve the number one problem consumers face with traditional battery packs – they are never charged when you need them. Powerwallet is a stylish, slim wallet made with a built-in 3000 mAh battery and charging cable. DOQ is a sleek A-frame docking station with two built-in wireless chargers and a place for an Apple Watch charger. The duo is a seamless solution to keep devices charged on the go and organized at home or in an office. Backers are able to pre-order the combo or each product separately.

“We are consistently looking for innovative ways to keep power ‘on hand’,” said OnHand Founder and CEO, Andrew Kitzenberg. “We designed DOQ and Powerwallet to be a functional solution to the common problem of lifeless devices. The DOQ and Powerwallet’s elegant design, combined with its multi-device wireless charging technology seamlessly integrates with everyday life.”

The A-frame design of DOQ holds a smartphone and Powerwallet standing nearly vertical, allowing charge of both devices plus an Apple Watch in a small 5-inch by 3-inch footprint. The DOQ also features two USB ports to power additional devices. This added feature is exceptionally beneficial to iPhone 7 or other non-wireless charging models, as it allows for simple charging with the use of a USB cable. The durable DOQ is made of solid metal and is available in black and silver with a brushed aluminum finish.

Made of premium leather, Powerwallet is a minimalist single-fold wallet that seamlessly charges while sitting on DOQ. The ultra-thin battery pack keeps the wallet from being too bulky and gives it that classy, comfortable look. With Powerwallet, the charging cable is attached to the battery itself and tucks neatly away into the fold of the wallet when not being used. The 3000 mAh battery can provide more than 10 extra hours of battery life and charges quickly, utilizing blue LED indicator lights to display remaining capacity. Powerwallet is compatible with all modern smartphones, including iPhone, Android and Google Pixel, and is available in saddle brown and midnight black.
