Promise Technology Named iF DESIGN AWARD 2018 Winner for its Apollo Cloud 2 Duo

MILPITAS, California – Embargo until March 9, 2018 @ 9AM EST – Promise Technology was a winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize, for its Apollo Cloud 2 Duo.  Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD and announces winners in different disciplines and categories.  The Apollo Cloud 2 Duo won in the Product discipline and Computer category.

The elegantly design Apollo Cloud 2 Duo is a simple-to-use device that allows users to safely store, access, and share documents, photos, videos, and music with their own personal network of family, friends, and business contacts from anywhere in the world via the internet.  The device acts as a secure personal cloud device where users can save and access files from around the globe in the safest way possible.

Recent updates allow for automatic surveillance recording from a variety of IP cameras and public cloud service syncing that allows users to back up cloud based documents.  All this functionality and access comes at no added cost to the consumer since there are no monthly or annual fees.

“When we designed our second-generation Apollo Cloud, we knew we had created something special and thanks to this award it validates those feelings,” said Sherlock Cheng, Director, Product Marketing and Business Development of Promise Technology.   “Typically, storage devices on the market are eyesores hidden and confined to offices amongst the cables and chargers.  Apollo Cloud 2 Duo changes the game thanks to its unique blend of features, functionality, simplicity, and beauty that can be displayed anywhere in a home or office.”

Apollo Cloud 2 Duo won over the 63-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with its reinvention of NAS and personal cloud storage devices. The competition was intense: over 6,400 entries were submitted from 54 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.

The 8TB Apollo Cloud 2 Duo is available now at Promise eStore, Apple, and B&H for $449.  The new 4TB version is available at Promise eStore and Amazon for $369.  Both are compatible with iOS, MacOS, Android and Windows.
