FileCatalyst Announces New Integration with LiveU to Provide Multi-Gigabit Transfer Speeds

Ottawa, ON – FileCatalyst, an Emmy® award-winning pioneer in managed file transfers and a world leading accelerated file transfer solution, has announced that their technology has been integrated with LiveU DataBridge to provide multi-gigabit transfer speeds.

LiveU DataBridge allows broadcasters and field crews to enjoy the highest bandwidth and availability for wireless broadband on-the-go. LiveU DataBridge enables generic internet connectivity for downloading and uploading media files in the field. It also supports bi-directional data traffic for any internet-based application including Skype, Twitter, Facebook and VPNs.

The integration of FileCatalyst Direct, a suite of server and client applications that accelerates point-to-point file transfers at speeds of up to 10 Gbps, further strengthens this solution by providing unprecedented transfer speeds to LiveU DataBridge users.

“LiveU DataBridge is a well-known and respected service for broadcasters working in remote locations, where internet connections are slow and unreliable. FileCatalyst’s integration helps alleviate these pain points, and just makes sense,” said Elton Carneiro, FileCatalyst’s Director – Strategic Partnerships & Cloud Services.

“We have always wanted to find an ISV partnership that helps us overcome the challenges of sending large media files across the WAN. FileCatalyst has not only provided that solution, but also provides the speed, security, and reliability they are known for,” said Haim Rapoport, VP Product for LiveU.

LiveU’s DataBridge service works by providing a powerful WiFi hotspot or Ethernet-based internet access to any connected device such as laptops, phones, and tablets. The DataBridge boosts connectivity and productivity by leveraging multiple networks, including cellular, WiFi, Ethernet and satellite.

For those attending NAB 2018 in Las Vegas from April 7-12 who want to learn more about FileCatalyst, LiveU and their integration, visit FileCatalyst in booth SL11516 and LiveU in booths C2617 and FB6.
