In Front of its Home Crowd, Rogue Seeks to Dominate the Inaugural H1Z1 Pro League Season

LAS VEGAS – April 20, 2018 – Team Rogue, one of the highest ranked teams in H1Z1, looks to dominate the inaugural H1Z1 Pro League season. With a roster of top players including Ludvig “Stormen” Storm and Jordan “HusKers” Thomas, backing from legendary EDM artist Steve Aoki, and a hometown advantage, Rogue is in prime position to make a run at the H1PL title. The H1Z1 Pro League is the first professional battle royale esports league created where 15 teams battle it out all at the same time on the same stage.

The Rogue H1Z1 roster is made up of some of the most prolific H1Z1 players in the European circuit, including Valentin “vago” Gonçalves, Janne “ziki” Sajomaa, Riki “Riki” Järvinen and Ludvig “Stormen” Storm; as well as late roster addition, Jordan “HusKers” Thomas. After being one of the first teams to join the H1Z1 scene, team Rogue quickly became one of the most popular teams with a large fan base.

“After working so hard to build up esports in Las Vegas, it’s a fun feeling to see Rogue compete as the home team in an iconic venue like Caesars,” said Frank Villarreal, Rogue President and Co-Founder. “Las Vegas locals can finally see their Rogue team compete on an international stage and hopefully win consistently in front of their home crowd.”

Rogue, known for yielding champions in multiple games — including Overwatch, CS:GO and H1Z1 — was founded in May 2016. The company quickly became a top esports organization in North America, with a global presence in several of the world’s most popular games. Rogue has strategically expanded its roster to include teams in CS:GO, Rocket League, Vainglory and Rainbow Six Siege.

Rogue’s rapid success and growth attracted an early investment from Grammy-nominated producer, DJ and EDM entrepreneur Steve Aoki. A Las Vegas local, Aoki took an active role in promoting Rogue’s teams and brand locally as well as internationally. His massive social media reach and cultural influence helped Rogue continue its upward trajectory and quickly expand its industry footprint, leading to additional investment from the sports, media and technology worlds.

Rogue was recently acquired by esports infrastructure company, ReKTGlobal. For more information on ReKTGlobal visit: http://rektglobal.com/.

Rogue will be competing in the H1Z1 Pro League, which inaugural season kicks off April 21 at Caesars Las Vegas and will be streamed online on Facebook Live.

Rogue President and Co-Founder, Frank Villarreal, and Rogue’s H1Z1 roster are available for interviews. Media interested in interviews and more information may contact ReKT@maxborgesagency.com.
