NASA Awards Protective Services Contract
NASA has selected Alutiiq Advance Security Solutions, LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, to provide protective services at the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia, the Independent Verification and Validation Facility in Fairmont, West Virginia, and Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York.
This is a firm-fixed-price contract with a core value of approximately $18.1 million, with a 45-day phase in period and an 18-month base period of performance beginning July 1. The contract includes two options to extend the period of performance through June 30, 2023. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity portion of the contract has a maximum value of $15 million. Individual task orders may extend for up to one year past the expiration of the ordering period.
The total contract value, including options, is approximately $75.9 million. This procurement was competed as a Small Business Administration 8(a) set-aside.
The contractor will provide armed and unarmed protective services, including security operations, investigations, counterintelligence and counter terrorism, incident command, contingency planning and incident responses, including new threat response capabilities, and identification management.
