Samsung Electronics unveiled its new CJG5 curved gaming monitor at Gamescom 2018, held from August 21st to 25th. Samsung is exhibiting its advance gaming monitor line-up with super ultra-wide CHG90 experience zone under a theme of “Wider View. Winning Play.” Gamescom, located in Cologne, Germany, is one of the world’s largest gaming trade show and attracted more than 350 thousand visitors from more than 50 countries last year alone.
The newly-developed C32JG5 and C27JG5 monitors feature key gaming technologies such as WQHD high resolution, curved display, 144Hz refresh rate and a high contrast ratio. Globally available in the third quarter of 2018, the bezel-less, game-optimized CJG5 provides a completely smooth and immersive gaming experience at a reasonable and affordable price backed by Samsung’s technology expertise.

The CJG5’s impressive WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440), which is four times higher than HD, showcases precise, life-like images along with a high contrast ratio of 3000:1. Deeper blacks and brighter whites are effortlessly delivered, revealing rich, vibrant colors and details for an enhanced gaming experience.
Curved: Comfort and Immersion
With a VA curved panel and three-sided bezel-less design, the CJG5 creates a completely immersive environment that captivates gamers in a most engaging experience. The monitor showcases an 1800R curvature that minimizes eye fatigue by reducing the change in the user’s focal distance. By imitating a real-life view, the CJG5 offers a benefit for users who swiftly move their focus while playing games, even over prolonged periods.

Samsung’s CJG5 ultimately increases the winning rate for game players by providing extremely responsive graphics and ensuring players do not experience picture lag or interruption with a 144Hz frame rate. The unmatched visuals enrich the gaming experience in a wide range of genres, including MMORPG, racing, sports and FPS that require quick player movement. The CJG5 also features game mode and cinema mode that automatically optimizes the black gamma level, contrast, sharpness and saturation for any game genre or movie. By utilizing game-dedicated On Screen Display (OSD) dashboard menu with game style UI, gamers can instantly check and control key settings during the game with ease.
Gamers can view the CJG5 gaming monitor in Europe at Samsung’s Gamescom booth (Hall 10.1) and Ubisoft’s booth (Hall 6). At Gamescom 2018, Samsung partners with Ubisoft, PUBG Corp., Warner Bros, Deep Silver, Square Enix, and Logitech to present various gaming contents on Samsung gaming monitors including CJG5. In Samsung experience zones, located inside partners’ booths as well as Samsung’s booth, gamers can also face an ultimate game experience with the 49-inch super ultra-wide CHG90. The CHG90 is the world’s largest QLED curved gaming monitor, with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT, unveiled at Gamescom 2017.
