Startup Company – VOYOMOTIVE – new safety features fixes major problem overlooked by car companies
STAY TUNED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WHILE WE COVER VOYOMOTIVE AND BRING YOU ARE REVIEW OF THIS GREAT PRODUCT
A David and Goliath story
Voyomotive is a true David and Goliath story of a small startup releasing a new automotive safety feature in the face of opposition from both the car industry and government regulators. We were recently covered by WGN-TV Evening news.
VOYO Lookout Alerts
VOYO is a small device that plugs into a car to make important vehicle information readily available in a phone app (photo attached). VOYO data can be also shared with family members, employers, mechanics or anyone with an interest in making sure a car is working correctly and safely driven. VOYO can send warnings, or “Lookout” alerts, by SMS, email or in-app, including the use of safety systems (antilock braking systems, traction control, etc.), vehicle swerving or speeding, low tire pressure, other vehicle malfunctions and much more. VOYO also offers Scan Pro, a professional level real-time diagnostic scan as part of the app.
Keyless Ignition and Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
A widely circulated New York Times article recently highlighted the risk of drivers leaving their cars with the engine running. The risk is particularly high for keyless ignition vehicles and has resulted in multiple injuries and deaths due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The car industry and government agencies have resisted any mandatory solution leading four US Senators to send a letter to NHTSA just weeks ago demanding action.
Engine-On Alert
In light of this real safety concern, we recently released an engine-on alert as part of VOYO’s Lookout feature. The alert is sent within 30 seconds of a driver having left his/her car with the engine running. The VOYO app can simultaneously alert multiple parties with information about the vehicle’s location and time of the event providing another layer of protection.
This story is quickly gaining traction, and we thought it might be something your viewers would be interested in. Additional information about VOYO and Lookout can be found on the Voyomotivewebsite and we would be happy to arrange for a demonstration with Peter Yorke, Voyomotive’s CEO.
