TactoTek® Expands Americas Market Presence with Mexico Sales and Business Development
OULU, FINLAND/MONTERREY, MEXICO (9 August 2018) – Today, TactoTek®, the leading developer of injection molded structural electronics (IMSE™) solutions, announced the opening of sales and business development operations in Mexico with representatives in Monterrey and San Luis Potosí, Mexico—hotbeds of electronics design and manufacturing for global market leaders in automotive, home appliances, medical equipment and other markets.
TactoTek is partnering with the Prolamsa Group to develop the Mexico IMSE market. “We are very fortunate to have developed a close relationship with Grupo Prolamsa and to have partners with such deep local knowledge and relationships operating as TactoTek Business Development in the region,” noted Jussi Harvela, TactoTek CEO.
For many global OEMs, operations in Mexico are evolving from being, primarily, a manufacturing destination, to including product design and engineering. “Many automotive, home appliance, and medical equipment OEMs and their suppliers have committed to Mexico for mass production,” observed Claudia Garza, TactoTek Business Development, Mexico; “a more recent trend is the growing role of these operations in innovative product design and engineering, skills for which Mexico is being recognized globally, and that matches well with opportunities supported by TactoTek IMSE technology.”
