Charlotte, NC — Today, RevoWire launches its campaign on Kickstarter for a phone charging cable that prevents wires from fraying or failing. The advanced charging cable features components durable enough to relieve strain and conductor wires built to handle increased tension. RevoWire solves the problem of stress on connectors and tangled cables. “It’s no secret to iPhone owners around the world — most lightning charging cable fail far too often and all too easily. In most cases, these failures can be attributed to harmful stress placed on the wire at points where increased tension and cable bending frequently occur,” said RevoWire Designer Sam Sutherland. “RevoWire solves all of the problems that occur with charging cables. No more tangles, frayed wires or wire shortages. It became a cable I could rely on. It’s easy to miss out on a lot due to a faulty phone charger, so it shouldn’t be something people worry about in their daily lives.” RevoWire features strain-relieving components near the two ends of the cable that are molded into the housing of each connector, and extend down the cable for increased durability and protect the weakest points in the cable. Made from silicone, these strain-relievers allow for both flexibility and an attractive appearance. RevoWire uses a folding pin located near the USB end of the cable, as well as a series of perforations that run down the the length of the flat wire. The cord is 5-feet-long and users are able to wind up the cable to a length of their liking by simply pushing the pin through one of the perforations – similar to a watch or belt. This design element offers a unique solution to managing wires and preventing tangles, while also providing total adjustability and simple storage. When RevoWire is completely wound, it makes for easy to storage. RevoWire even includes a reversible USB connector. RevoWire is currently available for pre-order starting at $15 on Kickstarter. About RevoWire LLC RevoWire was created by a group of five students from several universities during their summer internship at a digital marketing and product development agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. The students were given the opportunity to create and pitch their product, produce a prototype and then carry out a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in order to bring their product to fruition. RevoWire aims to address the common issue of wire failure seen in standard phone charging cables. Their ultra-durable cable features strain-relief technology as well as an innovative approach to wire management, allowing for superior adjustability and storage.
