NEW YORKSept. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Continuing its 170-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Fully Obedient Stormtrooper, a robotic Star Wars stormtrooper that loyally obeys commands as if issued by an Imperial general or a captain of the First Order.

Using a free smartphone app, it can navigate a path, patrol an area, follow custom directions, and identify comrades and rebels through facial recognition. It issues verbal warnings and responds to commands using an integrated speaker and has a built-in camera on its helmet that provides first-person viewing. Robotic servos enable it to march and perform other life-like movements and an infrared sensor detects stairs and furniture edges. A one-hour charge via its AC adapter provides up to two hours of obedient service. Compatible with iOS 9.0 and above and Android 6.0 and above. Ages 14 and up.

“This unique robot combines the fun of smartphone controlled play with the wonder of Star Wars,” said the company’s General Manager Nick DiMarco.

The Fully Obedient Stormtrooper is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $229.95
