LinksWell, maker of T-Style OEM replacement infotainment systems and automotive accessories, is alerting dealers to inferior “copy cat” T-Style radios on eBay that are causing market confusion.
A”copy cat” company is selling ostensibly similar products to LinksWell on eBay. Some Parts are sourced from the same factory, however LinksWell products use proprietary, US engineered software, and have numerous hardware differences. LinksWell products are also backed by full US technical support.
LinksWell National Sales Manager Walter Detlefsen said, “This copy cat company’s products on eBay may look the same as LinksWell products but our software is completely different. Some of our hardware is different as well. On the Ford Pickup T-Style radio we offer a true air bag indicator for the passenger that lights up when a passenger occupies the seat just as on the factory does. The copy cat company’s products simply have LED lights that are always on.”
“I want people to know the issues talked about the forums and Facebook pages, simply aren’t related to our products,” he continued. “They are related to copy cat products. We stand behind our products, which are fully tested, and designed and engineered for the US market. We offer reliable, high quality radios and accessories.”
LinksWell T-Style radios are backed by a one year warranty, or three years when installed in a new vehicle. LinksWell offers advanced replacement, where a replacement product is shipped to the dealer within one day of notification of a defective product. Products that are less than 90 days old will be exchanged with a new unit. After 90 days, a factory refurbished unit will be used. If the climate controls are not working, LinksWell will ship the replacement product out for next day delivery, no matter where the customer resides.
“I am not saying we have not had our own issues, but 97% of our issues have been resolved with software updates that we have supplied in less than 3 days,” Detlefsen said.
Currently 50 dealers offer LinksWell products in the US & Canada.
