Robotpedia An Interactive Encyclopedic Guide to Robots for Young Readers

Robots are everywhere—building cars, performing surgery, helping soldiers and firefighters, and even vacuuming! From high up in space to the bottom of the ocean, robots are an instrumental part of how humans are learning about the world.

Insight Kids is pleased to announce Robotpedia (October 23, 2018 / $24.99), an encyclopedic guide to robotics that offers an in-depth look at the global history and cultural impact of robots through the years.

Robotpedia guides children through the evolution of robotic technology: from the ancient Greek inventors, to the first robot at the World’s Fair, to nanotechnology in use today, to DIY robotics, and even a peek into the robotic future as told by the scientists creating it. Filled with interactive inserts, Robotpedia takes a fun approach to STEAM learning, providing a detailed, hands-on experience for young readers. Favorite robots from film and TV keep readers company along the way.

This is the first in a new series of books taking a hands-on, nonfiction approach to kid-friendly topics. Insight Kids’ new Pedia series will engage children in learning through interactive inserts and comprehensive investigations of popular topics, beginning with robots and continuing with energy and space.
