PITTSBURGH, Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto will lead a delegation of the region’s technology leaders as a featured presenter at American Middle East Institute’s 11th Annual Business Conference in Dubai. Peduto will join representatives from Pittsburgh companies to showcase the city’s transition from industrial giant to global technology leader in an address to the gathering of business executives and government leaders on October 17th.
“Simin Curtis and the American Middle East Institute has been shuttling leaders from the Middle Eastto Pittsburgh for over a decade with great success. This year, they’re taking Pittsburgh to the Middle East, and I’m honored to be part of the team that tells our story. It’s an extraordinary step for us to bring some of this region’s brightest leaders to Dubai,” said Peduto. Adding, “In the last decade, America has come to recognize Pittsburgh’s transformational role, but it’s a narrative that’s still largely unknown to business leaders in the Middle East.”
The conference, titled “Dubai 2018: Disruptive Technologies and the Next Economy” is the Pittsburgh-based non-profit’s first conference in Dubai. Peduto will share the stage with Netflix co-founder, Mitch Lowe, and join leaders selected from advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), and health innovation.
