NEW YORKOct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today at the 2018 NAB Show New York, Sling Media unveiled a new integration between SlingStudio, the industry’s first portable, wireless multi-camera video production system, and Vimeo, the world’s largest ad-free open video platform. New and existing SlingStudio users who subscribe to Vimeo Premium can now stream their multi-camera live event simultaneously across their website and social destinations, including Vimeo, Facebook, YouTube and others. The integration also unlocks Vimeo’s market-leading tools – like advanced analytics, privacy controls, player customization, and video hosting – for video professionals, businesses, houses of worship, educators and other creative organizations who use SlingStudio.

With the partnership, SlingStudio users can receive a 20 percent discount on their first year of a Vimeo Premium subscription.

“Integrating with Vimeo helps us make livestreaming a cohesive process for SlingStudio users, not only giving them a system for recording and production, but also making it easier to distribute high-quality feeds across multiple destinations, privately and without ads,” said Janet Gipson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SlingStudio. “When it comes to video production, filming high-quality, multi-camera content is just part of the battle – the other piece is making sure that content gets in front of the right audiences.”

“The SlingStudio hardware fundamentally simplifies multi-camera live production and complements Vimeo’s powerful capabilities for creators looking to stream high quality live events with maximum reach,” said Vitaly Shter, Senior Director, Product Marketing & Partnerships, Vimeo. “By integrating our two technologies, we’re bringing the best qualities from both so our shared communities can benefit from a more streamlined end-to-end workflow for their live videos.”

About the SlingStudio platform
Starting at $999, SlingStudio lets users of all skill levels record, monitor and edit four HD video inputs from up to 10 connected cameras, camcorders, smartphones and drones. SlingStudio can also output live video to streaming services like Facebook Live, YouTube, Twitter/Periscope, Livestream, Ustream, Restream.io, other RTMP destinations and now Vimeo, while simultaneously recording to a USB hard drive, USB SSD or SD card for post-production.
