SSBC RELEASES THE FIRST 8-PISTON HEAVY DUTY BRAKE CALIPER FOR ¾ AND ONE TON PICKUPS
Clarence, New York — Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation (SSBC) has released the B8 Barbarian—an 8-piston heavy duty brake caliper for late model Ford F-250s and F-350s, GMC Sierra 2500s and 3500s, Chevy Silverado 2500s and 3500s, and Ram 2500s and 3500s.
Machined from high-quality billet aluminum, the B8 Barbarian delivers ultimate style and stopping power. The B8—the newest product release from SSBC—comes fully-assembled in one box. Even more important is that no adapter brackets are required, so consumers can simply bolt the B8 caliper on and ride.
The B8 boasts eight heavy duty stainless steel pistons, high-friction, low-dust brake pads, four full-size stainless steel bleeders, and seven bridge bolts per caliper. Vehicle testing has shown the B8 caliper can improve stopping power by up to 35%.
The B8 is currently available in red, black and clear anodized. SSBC also offers custom powder coating in any color as well as engraving.
New SSBC President and COO Tom Reid—a former engineer with extensive experience in large manufacturing business turnarounds—had this to say regarding the B8 Barbarian release:
“The B8 is a true milestone of design and engineering—two things SSBC has been known for in the automotive industry. The heavy duty caliper is the most recent entree into the aftermarket truck realm, one that we look forward to pushing the envelope with.”
The release of the B8 Barbarian is also marked by a return to the world’s largest automotive trade show—SEMA. SSBC will be exhibiting at this year’s show in Las Vegas from October 30 to November 2, promoting its entire catalog of American-made products including the B8 Barbarian, which will be on approximately 70 vehicles also on display at the show.
