Used for testing the iPad 6th Gen Wifi/Cellular

Build:

As you can see it doesn’t add much size. Keep in mind with the case and keyboard it will definitely be larger then a traditional folio case but heck your getting a keyboard.

The material is solid. Mostly plastic with canvas section on the back which is the actual kick stand. On the top or side depending on the orientation is the apple pen holder. Feels plasticity and not sure the longevity if you are an active pen use. I had dropped it a couple times to see how it would take the abuse and whether the keyboard would pop off. It did not. They leave a nice open space and the bottom of the case so all your connections or dock with go in no problem. Tops or right side has large opening for volume buttons. Top left or left side has opening for head phone jack large enough you should be able to put in almost any headphones.

Keyboard feels firm and with the Matt finish does not hang on to your finger print. Keyboard is 3 stage back lit (off, medium, max). The bottom of the keyboard has another canvas patch but no rubber or grip pads to hold unit from slipping. It also attaches via a magnet to the iPad metal body. On the left side near the front you will find a power switch and micro USB for charging the keyboard.

Road Test:

I have been using this for a few weeks now. Almost daily in fact. I love the keyboard. It has a smooth and clean typing. Top row buttons give a fair amount of IOS shortcuts. Home, Siri, Search, Language, Onscreen keyboard, Previous track, Play/pause, Next track, Volume mute, Volume down, Volume up, Lock, Bluetooth LE connect, Keyboard battery check.

The keyboard is great to use but the connection via the magnet to the iPad feels a little flimsy. It doesn’t give you a tight hinge feel if that’s what you like. Now I said it feels flimsy, but the magnet is in fact fairly strong. It won’t allow you to dangle human or anything. While using it at work one thing I liked is that I could remove the keyboard and stick it magnetically stick it to the side of my desk, so it was out of the way when I wanted to use it as a media player (not a lot of desktop real estate). Not a fan of no grip pads on the bottom of the keyboard. This did make it sloppy on some surfaces.

Overall, I would give this case a solid recommendation. No product is perfect or will not work for specific needs. But I do enjoy it for what I have been using for.
