World’s First Self-Learning Snore Mask Launches on Indiegogo
Hüpnos announces the launch of their Indiegogo campaign, bringing the world’s first self-learning snore-reduction mask to the public. It is estimated that 90 million Americans suffer from persistent snoring, leading to a poorer quality of sleep for themselves and their partner. The resulting daytime fatigue causes extreme difficulty with concentration, focus and memory. It’s not surprising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has described sleep deprivation as a “public health epidemic”.
Curt Ray, CEO of Hüpnos, is an engineer and seasoned expert in bringing consumer products and sensors to market. He has wrestled with snoring for a decade, and his snoring was disrupting both his sleep and his relationship with his wife. Curt says, “I snore loudly and I tried everything available on the market, but none of it worked. I spent two years analyzing core technologies and clinical research and knew I could develop a sleep aide that would actually work.” Curt took the basic sleep mask and completely redesigned it to create a luxurious form-fitted mask of premium microfiber that uses powerful technology to analyze your snoring and take gentle steps to fix it.
The Hüpnos mask is a premium sleep mask with a soft, gentle feel. It contains a series of sensors that wirelessly connect with the Hüpnos sleep analysis app that records a person’s sleep and detects whether or not they’re snoring. Different from other products in the sleep market, Hüpnos is self-learning so when the wearer begins snoring, the app communicates to the mask, prompting it to gently vibrate until the wearer turns on their side. If the snoring continues, the proprietary smart technology increases expiration pressure through the mask’s silicone nose piece, opening the wearer’s airways so they can breathe quietly without snoring.
“We all know that when we are sleep deprived, we are more irritable. Snoring by one partner in the bedroom disrupts not just their sleep patterns, but can negatively impact the sleep pattern of their partner. A simple, comfortable solution to stop snoring has the potential to improve the wellbeing of many women,” reports Dr. Leah S. Millheiser, an OB/GYN and director of the Female Sexual Medicine Program at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Hüpnos is now inviting new backers on Indiegogo. Early backers will receive the soft, gentle, medical-grade mask before December 25th, in addition to a subscription to advanced sleep analysis on the Hüpnos Sleep Tracking App. The proprietary smart technology provides a restful night’s sleep beginning with first use so both the wearer and their sleep partner wake up refreshed.
