Audison (Elettromedia) is shipping its highest powered Prima DSP/amplifier, which is called the Forza.
DSP/amplifiers are a relatively new niche that is growing in importance in car audio builds, as they simplify installation, are compact in size and bring down the cost of adding digital signal processing to a system.
The Forza offers 85 watt by 8 channel power bridgeable to 260 watts by 4 channels (RMS @ 4 ohms) and also includes 9 channels of digital signal processing.
“This technology is the future of our industry. We first introduced this technology four to five years ago, and many other manufacturers have followed suit,” said Elettromedia USA VP Rob Wempe.
“The Prima Forza is a culmination of everything we have developed through the years of selling Bit processors and Prima amplifiers,” he added.
The Forza (it means “power” in Italian) may be used with ADS Maestro modules for integration into Ford, Chrysler, Jeep and other vehicles. It can also be used with the Audison Bit Tune.
The unit, model AP F8.9, is not subject to Chinese tariffs as it is built in Italy, said Wempe.
The Forza has 7 pre-configured presets. It uses Audison USS technology to connect to head units that have “speaker load detection.”
