Temi Announces Amazon Alexa Integration With Personal Robot

CES, Las Vegas – Jan. 8, 2018

Robotemi today announced its commitment to integrate Alexa and create Echo Show-like experiences into its personal robot, temi, when the Alexa Smart Screen and TV Device SDK is released. This will make it among the first robotic devices to feature Alexa and will further expand temi’s capabiltiies, pioneering a whole new era of personal assistant devices.

“The collaboration with Amazon is a major step up for temi – the Alexa Smart Screen and TV Device SDK will enrich temi with numerous skills, the world’s best natural language processing engine and more, which will take temi to a new level of interactivity, usability and familiarity” says Yossi Wolf, CEO of Robotemi.

Temi was originally designed to help elderly – an idea that came to Wolf while visiting his grandmother.

Quickly the company recognized the possibilities in the device, especially the hands-free video calling capabilities known as Telepresence. The idea of reconnecting distant/separated families sparked their minds. Hands-free video calls allow you to spend much more time commuincating face-to-face – resulting in building or improving relationships with your family members, friends or employees.

Temi can be met at numerous events and in B8TA stores across the USA. Temi is already mass produced with first deliveries expected by March 19 in the US. Temi is being sold on the company’s website as well as other e-commerce channels for $1,499 including shipping.
