ANDROID 9.0 PIE UPDATE COMING TO RAZER PHONE 2
WHO: Razer, the leading lifestyle brand for gamers, and its flagship gaming phone, the Razer Phone 2.
WHAT: A major software update to the Razer Phone 2 to Android 9.0 Pie, which provides operating system enhancements including gesture-based navigation with Google Assistant™, interactive app functionality and search, battery life optimization, privacy features including background app controls, access to digital well-being, video recording in 4k at 60fps.

Razer also announced that Razer.com will offer the Razer Phone 2 at $499.99 for a limited time (original $799.99 USD MSRP), starting March 1, 2019. The offer will also be available at authorized retailers, while certain carriers honor trade-in programs.

WHY: With Android 9.0 Pie installed, the Razer Phone 2 will operate more intuitively, more efficiently utilize its battery and significantly enhance user experience for gaming and entertainment.
WHEN: The new Android 9.0 Pie operating system version will be delivered via Over-the-air (OTA) update to all open market Razer Phone 2 units, commencing from February 27, 2019 (US PST). The update will then start rolling out to all carrier phones in accordance with each specific carrier software build.
The limited time price offer will be made available from March 1, 2019.
