NASA Awards Contract for Protective Services at Houston Facilities

NASA has awarded a contract to Praetorian Standard Inc., of Fayetteville, North Carolina, a service disabled veteran-owned small business, to provide comprehensive security services at the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, as well as facilities managed by Johnson.

The firm, fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity Johnson Space Center Protective Services Contract II (JSCPSC II) begins May 1 with a two-year base period followed by three one-year options that, if exercised, would extend the contract through April 30, 2024. The contract has a maximum total value of $68.25 million.

JSCPSC II will provide a comprehensive security program for the Center Operations Directorate Protective Services Division, covering personnel and property at Johnson, nearby Sonny Carter Training Facility and Ellington Field, and the White Sands Test Facility and White Sands Complex in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Specifically, the contract will cover physical security, law enforcement, emergency management, dispatch, badging and credentials, locksmith services, and sensitive/classified waste accountability.
