FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.April 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — With the announcement of two, new high-power PoE switches, D-Link is making it easier for businesses, healthcare facilities, schools, banks, retail outlets, and more to connect and power PoE devices. Select ports on both the DGS-1100-26MPP and DGS-1100-10MPP are 802.3bt compliant and can deliver up to 90 watts of power to devices such as outdoor cameras with heaters and fans, LED lighting, digital signage, point of sale systems, nurse call stations, video conferencing, wireless access points, and more.

“These switches are designed to help IT personnel quickly set up, power, and manage PoE devices on their network,” said Steve Olen, director of product marketing at D-Link. “Because they support the new 802.3bt standard, they also allow for compatibility across multiple vendors and powered devices.”

The new models, which are part of D-Link’s DGS-1100 Series of Smart Managed Gigabit PoE Switches, include maximum power budgets of 518W (24-port) and 242W (8-port) and can power devices up to 300 feet (100 meters) away over one Ethernet cable.

Additional Features
PD Alive—Pings attached PDs (IP Cameras, wireless access points) and resets the PoE power when inactivity is detected. Ideal for surveillance networks.

Surveillance Mode—Detects compatible ONVIF cameras and places them in a surveillance VLAN, allowing a single switch to be used for voice, video, and data while removing the need for dedicated hardware, reducing maintenance costs.
