LONDON – Tellyo, leading developers of a cloud-based live video production suite, today announced its latest updates to its platform, which delivers more views than any other live video product of its kind. Tellyo now provides full Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) support, and closed captioning, and is in beta for live 4K streaming input and output, which will be fully available at the end of 2019. The new features enable Tellyo customers – including MediaPro and Sunset+ Vine – to deliver live content moments, including multi-track audio, on a global scale, with ingest and streaming at up to 50 Mb/s (megabits per second).
Tellyo will demonstrate its new platform features at the IBC Conference in Amsterdam, from Friday, September 13ththrough Tuesday, September 17that the RAI Convention Center, in Stand #14.B15.
The demands of live multi-stream video production in the cloud have led producers to seek solutions that create greater efficiencies while replicating, and even enhancing, in-studio capabilities. Recently, Tellyo provided streaming of the ECB Test Series cricket matches with Sunset + Vine, which garnered more than 400 million impressions, more than 100 million views, and more than 350,000 engagements.
“We are experiencing an inflection point in live stream demand, from both content owners and consumers, and see the cloud enabling great flexibility for producers,” said Richard Collins, CEO of Tellyo. “The value of live content, and its redistribution over social channels, has created a massive opportunity for cloud-enabled broadcast content.”
Tellyo Stream Studio enables users to vision mix, enhance streams and interactive graphics, overlays and social commentary and create bespoke broadcasts for digital and social channels. Tellyo enables livestreaming of broadcasts to multiple destinations at the same time and create near real-time edits – and publish them to all channels in the middle of social spikes. Adaptive bit rate, advance scheduling, and post-stream announcements are all part of the Tellyo package, which seamlessly integrates with Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram and stream to other destinations via RTMP.
“Tellyo gives us the speed of deployment and reliability we require, especially when covering so many fixtures for the ECB,” said David Stranks, executive producer digital for Sunset+Vine. “The Tellyo team has helped us immensely by developing adaptations within their infrastructure to meet our requirements, ensuring we continue to reach global cricket fans and drive greater engagement with ECB video content.”
With Tellyo, users can clip key moments from events in real-time, edit and enhance videos with branded overlays, bumpers, wipes, interactive graphics and effects. The Tellyo montage function enables you to rapidly produce highlight reels from events, and users can mix content from multiple sources (livestreams, past streams, clips already created and videos uploaded to the Tellyo platform). Tellyo Pro’s auto clip-to-post feature enables editors to fully automate clip creation, social messaging and social posting.
