Elkhart, Ind. (November 1, 2019) – The future of truck caps is here. The industry’s first ever smart cap, the 200XQ Sport truck cap from LEER®, is now on display at this year’s SEMA Show. The cap boasts some of the industry’s most advanced technology such as rear door release capabilities via smartphone app or keypad display as well as audio system control through a smartphone app. Featuring premium SUV styling, the 200XQ Sport has a clean, all-glass look, a recessed third brake light, rear spoiler and no visible hardware.
Designed to pair with the 2019 Chevy Silverado (5’6” bed length), this fiberglass cap is engineered to be practical yet aspirational with luxury features. The 200XQ Sport offers an optional, high-performance rear audio/video system including a large screen TV, available fully installed. A contoured rear glass conforms to the shape of the tailgate, complementing standard features like twist-out side windows, a headliner, 42” tube lighting with a prop switch and a lifetime limited structural and paint warranty.
