KISSIMMEE, FL – December 5, 2019 – E.C.D. Automotive Design, known for full ground-up restorations of classic Land Rover Defenders, has fully restored a Defender 110 Crew-cab in Causeway Grey Pearl that features the first set of newly developed Brembo GT Performance brakes for E.C.D. Automotive Design.

Named Project Yellow Stone by its owner, this custom Defender 110 Crew-cab was built for performance with maximum power in mind. Project Yellow Stone is powered by the Chevrolet 6.2L LS3 V8 engine with 565-horsepower. For optimal braking, Project Yellow Stone was fitted with the first set of newly developed Brembo GT Performance brakes, designed specifically for the classic Land Rover Defenders from E.C.D. Automotive Design.

E.C.D. Automotive Design teamed with Race Technologies, an official supplier of Brembo braking systems, providing Race Technologies with classic Defender parts and data necessary for the design and production of the all-new high-performance braking kit. The new GT Performance system is a two-piece front and rear system available with slotted rotors.

The new Brembo GT Performance system allows E.C.D. to run six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear of their classic Defenders. In comparison, the original factory Defender used four-piston calipers in the front and two-piston calipers in the rear. As E.C.D. upgrades its custom Defender axle internals, transfer cases, transmissions, and engines to nearly 600-horsepower, it’s only appropriate that the braking system is upgraded to match as well.

“Here at E.C.D, we’re always looking to evolve our products and offer more performance-based options to our clients. The Brembo system combined with the slotted rotors and calipers allows us to take our braking system to the next level,” says Elliot Humble, co-founder of E.C.D. Automotive Design.
