RESTORED LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 IN CLASSIC ARLES BLUE GETS AMERICAN MUSCLE POWER
KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA, January 29, 2020 — E.C.D. Automotive Design, known for their full ground-up restorations of classic Land Rovers, has restored a 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 in Arles Blue with a 403-horsepower Chevy engine and plenty of modern-day features.
The most stand-out feature of this restored Defender 110 is its beautiful Arles Blue paint, a classic Land Rover color from the early 1990s. Named “Project Galena” by its owner, this Defender 110 is powered by American muscle — a 6.2L Chevrolet L92 engine with 403-horsepower. The client opted for this engine because of GMs generous 2-year/50,000 mile warranty in addition to the ease of maintenance and the significant increase in power over the original Rover V8.
On the interior, Project Galena boasts Italian leather upholstery and a variety of modern-day features. Equipped with E.C.D. Automotive Design’s adjustable air suspension, the ride comfort is ultra-smooth with the classic Puma seats. Modern-day features include wireless charging for mobile devices, back-up camera, in-vehicle, WiFi, remote locking, and a tire-press monitoring system.
Despite the arrival of the new 2020 Land Rover Defender, E.C.D. Automotive Design has experienced an increase in demand for their classic Land Rover Defenders. To meet the demand, they have recently expanded their already 30,000 square-foot facility by 10,000 square-feet and added nearly ten new ASE-certified mechanics to their team.
