How inconvenient is it to forget a key and be locked out of the house? How stressful is it to carry multiple things inside and struggled to find a key? How much easier would it be if the front door just unlocked automatically? Well now it can. I’d like to introduce you to Friday Home’s newly updated smart lock.

Able to retrofit most standard deadbolts, the Friday Home smart lock securely connects to phones wirelessly, giving the resident the ability to lock or unlock the door as well as effortlessly share access with friends and family. It can recognize residents via their phone as they approach, unlocking the door automatically, or can be unlocked manually using the Friday Home app or a physical key. Friday Home’s smart lock is compatible with iOS and Android and includes a rechargeable battery with a very long life span. And because all the mechanics are located on the inside of the door, this smart lock will not entice potential burglars to tamper with it, because it looks like a standard deadbolt from the front.

Not only is the functionality of this lock amazing, but so is the design. The Friday Home smart lock is designed by Danish architect BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. Their goal was to create something with beauty and simplicity. Friday Home’s unique shape is striking yet ergonomic and a perfect fit for any home (plus it has no ugly keypads or touch pads to distract from the style). And it comes in six different finishes to complement a home’s decor.
