Puppies & Robots at Pitt!!

Puppies and robots working together at Pitt for the greater good!

This visually compelling and ridiculously cute story should be on your radar.

Starship Technologies, the autonomous delivery robots operating on Pitt and several other campuses around the country, held a socialization exercise recently with puppies from Panthers’ Service Pups Club, a student organization at Pitt that helps train service puppies. The puppies are provided by the non-profit organization Canine Companions for Independence.

The exercises help familiarize the service puppies with autonomous technology that is becoming more common. The puppies were slowly introduced to the robots and were quickly able to work around them with little to no distraction. Starship has conducted similar exercises with other groups including the UK charity Guide Dogs where the dogs had a similar reaction.

I am the owner of Cerebral-overload.com and the Verizon Wireless Reviewer for Techburgh.com. My love of gadgets came from his lack of a Nintendo Game Boy when he was a child . I vowed from that day on to get his hands on as many tech products as possible. My approach to a review is to make it informative for the technofile while still making it understandable to everyone. Ben is a new voice in the tech industry and is looking to make a mark wherever he goes. When not reviewing products, I is also a 911 Telecommunicator just outside of Pittsburgh PA.
